Brainfeed School Excellence

Yuvabharathi has been recognised among the best CBSE schools of Tamilnadu for achieving excellence in quality school education towards the development of society and conferred Brainfeed School Excellence Awards for the top 500 schools of India (2017-18) at the 5th National Conference on Teaching, Learning And Leadership & School Excellence Award organised by Brainfeed, a monthly educational magazine. The selection committee was unanimous in selecting our school for its contribution towards the cause of quality in education through exemplary performance in the category of Best infrastructure, Sports Education and STEM education. Our Vice Principal, Ms.Meenakshi Vaidyanathan received the award during the Conference held at Bengaluru on 12th November 2017.

Yuvabharathi Public School has also made it to the prestigious list of Top 50 Schools that have been recognized as 'Future 50 Schools Shaping Success', an initiative by Fortune India and Univariety. Yuvabharathi has carved a niche in the Coimbatore circle and has marched forward to gain the top spot in Indian education industry. Ms.Geetha Jayachandran, Principal, received the award during the felicitation ceremony held at New Delhi on the 6th of October, 2017.

Eduworld School Ranking

We are happy to share with you that Yuvabharathi Public School has been Ranked No.1 in Coimbatore district FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE TIME and No.9 in Tamilnadu state by Eduworld School Ranking 2017-18. Our school has been awarded 9th rank at NATIONAL LEVEL in the academic reputation parameter under the Best Co-ed Day Schools category. Ms.Geetha Jayachandran, Principal and Ms. Meenakshi Vaidyanathan, Vice Principal received the award at the Education World India School Ranking Awards ceremony held at Gurugram on the 23rd of September, 2017.

Inter School Skating Competition

Yuvabharathi Public School emerged as overall champions in the Kovai Sahodaya Schools Complex Inter School Skating Competition conducted at Yuvabharathi Public School on the 10th of October 2017.

The Indian International Model United Nations

The second edition of the Coimbatore chapter of The Indian International Model United Nations was held at CS Academy from 28th to 30th July 2017. 38 school delegations and 700 students participated in the event, which was perhaps the largest MUN in South India. The objective of the ‘Model United Nations’ was to create a platform for the youth and provide a responsible and credible medium to put forth their ideas. Disha Nahata, Kritheega Devi R, Smayan Santosh, Shradha Sreekumar and Varsha bagged the Best Delegate Award. Aadhish S. won the High Commendation Award. Suraj Narayanan, Rahul Harikumar A., Shyam Srinivas R., and Subramanian Meyyappan won Special Mention Award.

Samyang P. Jain, Jayasree P., Adithya Haridas, Bharathi Kamban, Mannan Dassani, Aadithya V., Ronak Hingar S. and Aderai T. L. received Verbal Mention.

Yuvabharathi Public School won the Best Delegation Award.

NCS Eco Award

Yuvabharathi Public School has been conferred NCS Eco Award 2016-17 by the Nature Conservation Society for the efforts taken in encouraging and motivating students towards nature conservation. Honourable district collector Mr.T.N.Hariharan I.A.S., presented the award.

District Champion Daksha

Daksha V. B. of grade 4 A has brought laurels to our school by winning the following:

  • Under-10 Doubles championship in the Summer Shuttle Fest 2017 organised by Tamilnadu Badminton Association and Virudhunagar District Badminton Association at Sivakasi in April 2017.
  • Under-10 Singles Championship in the PSG Kids Badminton Tournament organized by PSG College of Technology in May 2017.
  • Under-10 Singles and Doubles Championship in the Coimbatore District Badminton Championship organized by Coimbatore Badminton Association in June 2017.

Olympian from Yuvabharathi

S. A. Pranav of Grade 7 participated in Training and Selection Camp of Long Track Speed Skating held in Delhi NCR from 11 to 14 May 2017 under the guidance of Olympian Coach Mr. Marek Stanuch. He is selected for further training outside India in Long Track Speed Skating.

Ice skating association of India conducted the qualification competition for selecting the participants of Winter Olympics 2022. Among the 20 entrants, only 6 got selected for representing our Country at the Olympics. Yuvabharathi congratulates Pranav on being selected as one of the six selected candidates.

Asian Roller Skating Competition

Aahil Mubarak of Grade 1 won gold medals in 500 m and 1000 m race in the in-line speed skating at the Asian Roller skating competition held in Thailand from 12.05.2017 to 17.05.2017.He is already a national and state champion.

Krishna Prahlaadh R. (2016-17) is pursuing BS-MS at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal and Sanjay S. (2016-17) is pursuing B. Tech. at IIT Chennai.

Pride of Yuvabharathi

K.Darshini of Grade 3, Skating champion, has been conferred the 'Pride of Tamilnadu Award' (Sports-Emerging Category) for her achievements and contributions to the sports field. Pride of Tamilnadu Award is an initiative by the Round Table to celebrate talents from Tamilnadu in various fields. On March 13, 2016 Darshini entered the India Book of records and Asia Book of Records by covering a distance of 10.5 km in 41.03 minutes in the event titled "Quarter Skating Marathon", claimed to be the first of its kind in Asia.

A letter to Gandhi

With rising flood the rising lotus flower its stem unwinds; The dignity of men is measured by their minds – Thiruvalluvar (Kural 595).

Gandhi World Foundation and Pudhiya Thalaimurai jointly organized the programme by name “A letter to Gandhi” in October 2016. This programme encouraged the young minds to voice their social concerns to Mahatma and put forth the novel ideas to overcome social hurdles. Around 3600 letters were received from enthusiasts from different states and from different walks of life. Only 20 letters were selected by a team of social activists, educationists, eminent persons from media. Swaathi R. of Grade 6 wrote a letter to Mahatma venting out her anguishes at social calamities and had registering her thought provoking suggestions. Her remarkable words fetched the winner certificate in the school category at the felicitation ceremony held at Madras Museum, Chennai on 30th January 2017.

Atal Laboratory (ATL)

Government of India's NITI Aayog has selected Yuvabharathi to establish Atal Laboratory (ATL) under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) Yuvabharathi Public school is one of the 257 schools that is selected by the Government of India to establish Atal Laboratory (ATL).With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) by NITI Aayog, Government of India has plans to establish Atal Laboratories (ATLs) in selected schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM. Around 13,000 schools applied from all over India. We are one of the 257 schools selected by NITI Aayog!!! Ms. Sudha Brahmadathan, PGT, Sudhay S., Nithin Dony and Aadhish S. from Grade 10, represented our school.

History repeats itself! We are empowered!!!

Yuvabharathi’s Project for the Design For Change - School Challenge 2016, 'We are empowered' has been selected as one of the 100 most inspiring stories!This year, DFC India received 3610 stories of change from 27 states of India. Our story has been shortlisted among the 100 most inspiring stories of the year!.The 'I CAN' Awards event (conducted on 3rd and 4th December 2016 at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmadabad, Gujarat) was organised to celebrate and honour our students for being the SUPERHEROES OF CHANGE. Ms. Meenakshi Vaidyanathan, Vice Principal, and Sahasrakshi S., Student representative of the 'We are empowered' team, attended the award ceremony and received the award! This is the second time we have bagged the award.

Children made us proud on the Children’s day

On 14 November 2016, Sudhay S., Grade 10, and Mritul S., Grade 8, created a world record by covering the longest distance in swimming in an eight-hour swimathon.

They achieved this incredible feat at our school. Sudhay swam a distance of 13.35 KM for a continuous five hours using medley technique. Sudhay's brother Mritul covered a distance of 9.2 K M in three hours only with freestyle technique.

It is learnt that in 67 years of World record history, these two attempts are the first of its kind.

The above World Records are adjudicated by 5 world record companies namely Elite World Records UK Private Limited, Unique World Records, Asian Records Academy (Singapore), India Records Academy, and Tamilan Book of Records.
